Spicy Garlic Shrimp Sushi

A delicious fusion of Japanese sushi and spicy garlic shrimp, this sushi roll offers a burst of flavor with each bite. The garlic-infused shrimp combined with the heat of Sriracha creates a tantalizing experience for sushi lovers seeking a bold and flavorful option.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sushi rice, cooked
  • 10-12 cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon honey
  • Nori seaweed sheets
  • Sriracha mayo optional
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions:

In a small bowl, mix minced garlic, soy sauce, Sriracha sauce, sesame oil, and honey to make the marinade

Coat the cooked shrimp with the marinade and let it sit for 10-15 minutes to absorb the flavors

Place a sheet of nori seaweed on a bamboo sushi mat

Spread a thin layer of sushi rice evenly over the nori, leaving a 1-inch border at the top

Arrange the marinated shrimp along the bottom edge of the rice-covered nori

Roll the sushi tightly using the bamboo mat, applying gentle pressure as you roll

Seal the edge of the nori with a dab of water

Slice the sushi roll into bite-sized pieces using a sharp knife

Serve the spicy garlic shrimp sushi with Sriracha mayo, sesame seeds, and chopped green onions for garnish
