Polka Dot Cupcakes - Black, Gold, and White

The black, gold, and white in these Polka Dot Cupcakes look great together, making them perfect for events that are classy and elegant. Your guests will enjoy finding the black polka dots inside the white cupcakes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of white cake mix
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • Black food coloring gel
  • Gold cupcake liners
  • White buttercream frosting
  • Gold edible glitter

Instructions:

Warm up the oven to 350F 175C and put the gold cupcake liners in a cupcake pan

Put the eggs, water, vegetable oil, and white cake mix in a mixing bowl

Mix everything together well

Split the cake batter in half and put each half in its own bowl

One of the bowls of cake batter should have black food coloring gel added to it

The batter should be mixed until it is black

Small amounts of black cake batter should be dropped into the gold cupcake liners with a small spoon

You can make any kind of random polka dot pattern you want

Carefully pour the white cake batter into the cupcake liners so that it covers all of the black dots

Place the cupcakes in an oven that has already been heated

Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean

After taking the cupcakes out of the oven, let them cool in the pan for a few minutes

Then, move them to a wire rack to finish cooling

When the cupcakes are completely cool, use a piping bag or spatula to frost them with white buttercream frosting

For a touch of glitz and glamour, sprinkle edible gold glitter on top of each cupcake
