Mammas Mince Pies

Mammas mince pies are a holiday classic, perfect for festive gatherings or cozy nights in. The combination of buttery pastry and spiced mincemeat filling is sure to delight your taste buds.

Ingredients:

  • 500g ready-made shortcrust pastry
  • 350g mincemeat
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Icing sugar, for dusting

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 200C 180C fan

Roll out the pastry and cut out circles to line a 12-hole tart tin

Fill each pastry case with mincemeat

Cut out smaller circles or stars from the remaining pastry to top the pies

Brush the tops with beaten egg

Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown

Dust with icing sugar before serving
