Hazelnut Hot Chocolate Drops
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 1/4 cup of hazelnut spread
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons of chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- Whipped cream and chopped hazelnuts for garnish
Instructions:
In a saucepan, combine the milk and heavy cream over medium heat
Stir occasionally until its heated but not boiling
Add the hazelnut spread, cocoa powder, chocolate chips, sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the saucepan
Stir continuously until everything is well combined and the mixture is smooth and creamy
Let the hot chocolate simmer for a few more minutes to enhance the flavors, stirring occasionally
Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool for a minute
Pour the hazelnut hot chocolate mixture into silicone molds or ice cube trays
This will create hot chocolate drops
Place the molds in the freezer and let them set for about 2 hours or until the drops are firm
To serve, remove the hazelnut hot chocolate drops from the molds and place them in a cup or mug
Heat some milk separately and pour it over the drops
Stir until the drops melt and the hot chocolate is creamy
Top with whipped cream and chopped hazelnuts for extra indulgence
